Since our foundation in 2004 Sporting Hearts have taken thousands of refugee and Roma children on day trips around Serbia. Places as exciting and diverse as boat cruses on the river Danube, sports camps in Fruska Gora national park, trips to Belgrade zoo and magical excursions to the wonderful world of the children’s theatre club.
These trips are always fun and educational and together with our, music, photography, theatre and computer workshops the children learn new skills, make new friends, grow in confidence and build self-esteem.
Sporting Hearts is a registered charity based in Northern Ireland and we rely solely on charitable donations to fund our Kids projects. We are a non-political and non-religious organisation and our aim to help all children who have suffered as a result of war or have been disadvantaged due to ethnic or religious prejudice in the former Yugoslavia.
We also provide funding for the relief of poverty, the advancement of education and the promotion of health and well being among children.
